Who am I?
Workshop Series
Life is change. Some changes feel manageable. Some change feels deeply confusing. The sort of changes that make you question who am I now?
Who am I? After a diagnosis
Who am I? During menopause
Who am I? Now that I am single
who am I? Now that I am a parent
In this curated series of small in person group workshops Dr Susan Mackay gently guides participants through information, art and group participation towards sense making. This might include grieving losses, stabilising self in instablitily, and anticipating potential. No art making skills required, just a willingness to be playful with the materials at hand.
Duration: 2 hours in a small-group studio setting with plentiful supplies, warmth and humour. Sessions run in central Edinburgh.

Who am I?
After a diagnosis
Identity
Overview:
Starting the session with introductions. Your name, job, or a new identity?
How do you understand yourself? There will be art making and conversation to think together about what changes with a diagnosis. What it means. What is hard or good. What is hopeful and encouraging.
Afterwards in our small group we will share our process and thoughts.

Who am I?
During menopause
Mood, body, life changes
Overview:
Menopause, peri or post - is a time of change.
To journey through this change, exploring the impact on sense of self, within the small group, you will reflect on where you are now.
Then, you will be gently led in art making and conversation to explore and unpack (and perhaps, re-imagine) this important moment in a woman's life.
After, there will be space to share your experiences in the workshop.

Now that I am single
Loss and possibility
Overview:
Becoming single can be a complex mix of feelings which can affect how to undertand oneself.
There may be a sense of loss of who you were in a relationship with other. And a curiosity as to who you might want to become.
In a small group you will be gently guided to explore these ideas through artmaking and conversation.
A safe place to be single in a community.

Who am I?
Now that I am a parent
Finding self in the midst
Overview:
The profound experience of becoming a parent is more than nappies and feeding. Heightened emotions, busy schedules, the needs of the child and family can overshadow a sense of self.
Here is a place where there is time for you to gently rediscover parts of yourself, celebrate new ways you have become, and imagine who you might want to be.
Guided through artmaking and conversation this workshop is a gentle space to be with yourself, again.
